In line with extension of existing loan deferral arrangement for further 6 months until 30th June 2022 by the Central Bank of Bahrain, we are pleased to extend instalment deferral option for corporate and individual borrowers on eligible credit facilities for further six months starting from 1st Jan 2022 at existing commercial terms & conditions of the loan. Interested borrowers may download the application form by clicking on the below link and submit the same to the branch duly signed by authorized signatory. (Last date of submission : 13.01.2022)

Dear customers,

We wish to inform you that the Government of Bahrain has announced the increase in VAT rate from the current 5% to 10% effective 01.01.2022. The increased VAT rate of 10% would apply to all services offered by our bank unless specifically subject to VAT at zero-rate or exempt from VAT. The State Bank Base Rate (SBBR) has been revised from 8.75% to 8.25% w.e.f. 01.04.2020. All the loan accounts linked to SBBR shall be charged as per the revised SBBR w.e.f. 01.04.2020.

Our per day limit on Debit Card is enhanced to BHD 1000 at ATM & BHD 1500 at Point of Sale (POS). Per transaction limit of debit card will be subject to the limit set by concerned Bank in their ATM. In case of SBI ATM, the per transaction limit is BHD 500

Our new Toll free Contact Centre number is 80801724 for EFTS, Retail Loans and NRI Services related queries.

SBI sends SMS/Email alerts for every transaction. It helps you check that no deduction has taken place which is not done by you. If your account is debited for any failed ATM/POS transaction, you may visit SBI branch or write to for refund.

With effect from 1st Sept 2019 minimum Monthly Average Balance (MAB) required in Corporate Current Accounts will be BHD 500 and Charges for not maintaining MAB will be BHD 10 + VAT per month.
